Digi pack

Here are some rough ideas for my CD album packaging;

Once I experimented I constructed ideas for my final front cover. I wanted to go for a childish look, expressing the naivety which is also in my music video. This is the final product:

To match the front cover, I also created a back cover of the CD booklet, Back cover of the Album and CD placing.

This is where the CD would be placed (Middle of rainbow)

Forth stage of editing

October 30, 2009

This is a summary of editing and everything I have done to get the finished product, in my past account I listed things I needed to change, but this time I am going to list everything I did to finish up:

  • Credits added - By credits, I mean Artist name and song title. I added this at the beginning of the video at the end, which introduces it and reminds the audience once it is finished. I decided to use a plain Ariel font for this, as I wanted the attention to be solely focused on what the credits are saying, not the emphatic font. I also wanted it to be easily read, so it could be quick and the attention could move onto the video itself.
  • New shot for intro added – I added a close up of Phil’s hand into the introduction of the video, this allowed the whole series of clips to run better with the beat and it moved a lot quicker. The more shots which held suspense seeing Phil’s face added mystery to him too.
  • Close up of Chloe removed - There was a close up of the girl sat next to Lisa in the bus stop, Chloe. I removed this as I wanted the camera to perceive that Phil’s attention was solely on Lisa, and the close up made it seem he was looking at Chloe too.
  • All shots are emphatic to the beat – After going through the video several times, I ensured that all of the shots are emphatic to the beat. As I have mentioned several times now, this is my main aim and it makes the video a lot more consistent and professional.
  • Hand held with Mother shortened – The clip where Phil is holding hands with his ‘Mother’, is now cut down and fits a lot better.
  • Thought bubbles added – The rota scope thought bubbles have now been added and I am extremely pleased with these. I constructed them in Photoshop using a blank layer, and then layering them on top of my footage. I added footage of Lisa in the final bubble, this was done by filling the bubble with green and importing the clip in.
  • Stop motion animation heart beats - At first, the clothes formation of a heart just flickered on the floor, but I carefully arranged the images so it appeared to be beating. This looks a lot better, and is more interesting as it adds life to the clip.
